The Indiana Cover Crop Tool for Small Farms and Gardens is an excel workbook to help small farmers, gardeners, and conservation planners make cover crop decisions and determine seeding rates for small-scale agriculture. The tool allows growers to select low, normal, or high rates for cover crop species and it will provide seeding rates for a given area in square feet.

The tool is named ‘Indiana Cover Crop Tool for Small Farms and Gardens’ and is available under the cover crop section of our Soil Health Guide webpage.
