Take a break from the Netflix, Facebook and 24/7 news cycle, and find a local Indianapolis park! Even though Indianapolis is the metropolitan center of Indiana, we have many amazing natural areas and greenways, maybe some you didn’t even know about. Did you know Eagle Creek Park is one of the largest municipal parks in the United States? Did you know that less than 15 miles from downtown Indianapolis, Marion County houses one of Indiana’s 25 state parks, Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park?
Though there is a ‘stay at home order‘ in place, that doesn’t mean you cannot go outdoors to exercise. So, reconnect with some of Indianapolis’ nature trails and parks and take a hike!

- It is best to keep off playground equipment, benches and picnic tables.
- Guidelines for COVID-19 are changing daily, to get the most up to date information follow the Center for Disease Controls and Prevention and the Marion County Health Department.
