Marion County Soil and Water Conservation District has a 2025 cover crop cost-share program for Marion County backyard gardeners, community gardens, and urban farms! Funding will be awarded based on the order in which complete applications are received, with priority given to applicants who provide a well-thought-out plan for managing and terminating the cover crop.
Applications will be reviewed in April 2025 or until at full capacity and e-mail notifications sent to all respondents by Kevin Allison of the Marion County Soil and Water Conservation District. Successful applicants will be e-mailed a $30 discount code for a cover crop seed purchase!
This program is made possible through a competitive grant won by the Marion County SWCD through Indiana State Department of Agriculture’s Clean Water Indiana program. Your cover crop planting will count positively towards water quality metrics in your watershed!
