2025 is the 70th Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Conservation Education and the theme for this special year is “Home is Where the Habitat Is”. From the Dust Bowl Years through today, conservation education has been a growing and important part of recognizing the importance of protecting our land and natural resources.
The National Association of Conservation Districts took the reins of Soil Stewardship Week in 1955 and with the help of Soil & Water Conservation Districts across the nation, Stewardship educational events and materials have increasingly become instrumental in spreading the news and inspiring conservation action on the ground.
